An interesting  focal point caught my eye where I least expected it.  It was a little Zen In The City.

A few years ago, I was hiking up Montjuic to the Barcelona Olympic Stadium when I stumbled upon this wall on the side of a bar.  The owners of Estrella Damm, a popular Spanish beer,  repurposed a small building next to the stadium.  They created La Tasca, a bar that incorporated natural vegetation on its exterior.

I love how they took a plain wood wall and made a small garden vignette out of empty beer cases and potted plants.   Recreate this wall art in any backyard to utilize vertical space.

Additionally, it’s a great way to reuse, repurpose and recycle!
